I have decided to start creating a food and exercise blog in the hopes that I will be able to hold myself accountable for the things I eat and for the exercise I do (or don't do). I will simply be tracking my calories, exercise and weight on here. Please, if you have any tips (constructive!) or tricks for me while I am on my journey, please don't hesitate to offer them
According to MyFitnessPal, I need to keep myself to 1700 calories a day. If I go over that amount, I make myself exercise to burn enough calories to get the total back down to 1700. I'm not always perfect, but I'm doing a lot more now than I ever used to do.
A month after I had baby #3, I was 228 pounds. After I realized that I was still eating what I craved while I was pregnant, I quickly got myself back down to 220 lbs by watching what I ate. I have a really crappy bathroom scale, so I'm not sure how much I weighed before I started keeping track.
Thursday: Calories eaten: 2000- Lunch was a killer. 980 of those calories came from my Taco Bell lunch, and 380 of them were from a large Pepsi. I've got to learn to get smaller drinks!
Calories burned- I walked 15 minutes from work to Taco Bell to get my lunch (62 calories).
Did Wii Fit Plus for 45 minutes (255 calories).
Thursday Total: 1683
Friday: Calories eaten: 2000- I went to the movies and got a small buttered popcorn...630 calories all by itself! What a disaster choice...but I oh, so love buttered popcorn!
Calories burned- Played Just Dance for 55 minutes (411 calories). I also did 18 assisted pull ups and 90 ab crunches.
Friday Total: 1589
Saturday: Calories eaten: 1668-Still a little closer to 1700 than I like. The biggest meal was breakfast. I had a maple bar while I was out walking yard sales.
Calories burned- House cleaning and 30 minute shopping (310 calories).
Saturday total- 1358 c
Sunday: Calories eaten: 1976- I ended up eating snack food for lunch (mini corn dogs, white bread, potato chips) which accounted for 965 calories, and for dinner I had homemade mac and cheese, which was 820 calories.
Calories burned- I jumped on the trampoline for 30 minutes, but since myfitnesspal didn't have that as an exercise, I put jumping jacks for 15 mins (207 calories).
Sunday total: 1769 :(
Monday: Calories eaten: 1362 - I felt pretty good about my calories on this day!
Calories burned - I cleaned my kids' bedroom, which is no small effort (147 calories).
Monday total: 1215!!!
Tuesday: Calories eaten: 1829 - I had a medium french fry with my salad from McDonald's for lunch...they are SO good! And I had four pieces of a Gourmet Chicken Garlic pizza from Papa Murphys..pretty embarrassed about that one. I definitely could have used better control.
Calories burned- Rode my bike 14-16 mph for 15 mins and 16-20mph for 15 minutes (548 cals)
Tuesday total: 1281
Wednesday: Calories eaten: 1666- Went to a friend's house for dinner. I always seem to eat more when I'm at other people's houses.
Calories burned- 0 Were at our friend's house until 9:30 and I was too tired when I got home...excuses excuses
Wednesday total: 1666
Thursday: Calories eaten: 1830 - Lunch wasn't too great, I got some tacos and a small nacho from Taco Bell...the tacos were good but the nachos were 440 calories by themselves. I won't do that again! Also had Panda Express for dinner. String bean chicken=yum! Chow Mien = too many calories!
Calories burned - Did Wii Fit Plus for 53 minutes (310 cals)
Thursday total: 1520
Current weight: 215 (in the morning) 217 (at night)
Kara this is great! Being aware of what your weaknesses are is the best thing! I have really started planning food that I eat so that I don't get tempted when I run out of time. But super proud of text me know if you ever need motivation. I wouldnt have made it to the gym tonight if the girls at work hadnt said What will your blog say..... :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know how long you have been on MFP, but I found that putting in what I plan to eat before I actually eat it helps me keep it low. especially when eating out. Look up the menu online or something if possible and put it all in, it makes it easier than when you're looking at the yummy picture to make smart decisions.
